About this tool

What is the Fancy Text Generator?

It turns ordinary letters and digits into look-alike characters from Unicode, such as the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (๐€ U+1D400), enclosed letters (โ’ถ, ๐Ÿ…, ๐Ÿ„ฐ, ๐Ÿ…ฐ) and full-width forms (๏ผก). Because the result is text, not a font, you can paste it into places that do not let you change the font: profiles, posts, chat messages, nicknames and so on.

How to use

  1. Type or paste text into the box.
  2. Every style is shown below, updated as you type.
  3. Press the copy button next to a style to copy it.
  4. Press the star to add a style to your favorites. Favorites are shown first and saved with the tool.

Characters that a style does not have, such as Japanese, emoji or punctuation, are left as they are.

Things to know before you use it

These are not fonts. Each letter is a different character that only looks like a styled letter:

  • Screen readers may read the text letter by letter ("mathematical bold capital Hโ€ฆ") or skip it entirely, so people using them may not understand it.
  • Search inside apps and search engines usually does not find ๐‡๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ when someone searches for Hello.
  • Some fonts and older devices do not have these characters and show empty boxes (โ–ก) instead.

Avoid them for names, important information, links and anything people need to find or read reliably. Use them for decoration.

How it works

Most styles come from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400โ€“U+1D7FF), which Unicode added for mathematical notation. A few letters, such as italic h (โ„Ž U+210E), script B (โ„ฌ), Fraktur C (โ„ญ) and double-struck C, N, R (โ„‚ โ„• โ„), already existed in the Letterlike Symbols block, so their places in the mathematical block are left empty. This tool uses the correct Letterlike Symbols characters for them, so no letter turns into a missing character.

  • Strikethrough / Underline add a combining mark (U+0336 or U+0332) after each character.
  • Upside down replaces letters with rotated look-alikes and reverses the order.
  • Regional indicators (๐Ÿ‡ฆโ€“๐Ÿ‡ฟ) are the characters used to build flag emoji. Two in a row become a flag (๐Ÿ‡ฏ + ๐Ÿ‡ต = ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต), so this tool puts an invisible zero-width space (U+200B) between them.
  • Negative circled, squared and negative squared letters only exist as capitals, so lowercase letters are shown as capitals.

FAQ

Why do some letters look different or stay plain?

Superscript, subscript and small caps only exist for some letters in Unicode (there is no superscript q, and small caps x does not exist), so those letters stay as they are. How each character looks also depends on the font of the app where you paste it.

Can I use this for my name or username?

You can, but people will not find you by searching for your normal name, and screen reader users may not be able to read it. Many sites also reject or change these characters in usernames.

Does it work for Japanese or other languages?

Only Latin letters (Aโ€“Z) and digits are converted (Fullwidth also converts ASCII symbols). Other characters stay as they are.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.

๐Ÿ”  Case Converter
Convert text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and more, instantly in your browser.
๐Ÿ”ค Unicode Normalization
Normalize text to Unicode NFC, NFD, NFKC or NFKD as you type. Convert full-width letters and half-width katakana, and unify accented characters.
๐Ÿ”ก Unicode Escape / Unescape
Convert text to \uXXXX Unicode escape sequences, or turn \uXXXX and \u{1F600} escapes back into readable characters. Handles emoji and surrogate pairs.
๐Ÿ˜ƒ Emoji Palette
Search about 1,900 emoji by name, short code, category or code point and copy any of them with one click. Shows Unicode names and short names.
๐Ÿ”ค Character Counter
Count characters, words, lines, paragraphs, sentences and bytes (UTF-8 and Shift_JIS) as you type. Emoji and combining marks count as one character, and Japanese words are counted too.
