About this tool

What is Tarot Reading?

A tarot deck has 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana (The Fool, The Magician, The Lovers, Death, The Sun…) for big themes in life, and 56 Minor Arcana in four suits for everyday matters. This tool shuffles the deck, deals the cards face down and lets you turn them over one by one, then shows what each card means in its position. Use it for reflection, inspiration or just for fun.

How to use

  1. Card of the day: optionally type your name and click the card. You get the same card all day, and a new one tomorrow.
  2. Reading: choose a spread, type a question if you like, and press Shuffle & draw.
  3. Click each card to turn it over, or press Reveal all. The meaning of each card appears below.
  4. A card can come out upside down. This is called reversed, and it is read differently: the card's meaning is blocked, delayed or turned around. Untick Include upside-down (reversed) cards to read every card the right way up.
  5. Press Copy to paste the reading into a note or a chat.

FAQ

Is the draw random?

Yes. Readings are shuffled with crypto.getRandomValues, so every card is equally likely and no card appears twice in one reading. The card of the day is the one exception: it is picked from the date and your name, so it stays the same all day.

What does a reversed card mean?

A card that lands upside down usually means its energy is blocked, delayed or turned inward. Each card lists both its upright and reversed meanings.

Does Death mean someone will die?

No. Death is the card of endings and transformation: one chapter closes so another can begin.

Is my reading saved?

Your last reading is saved in this browser so you can come back to it. Nothing is sent to a server unless you share the tool.
