Crop, rotate, flip and resize images, adjust brightness and contrast, apply filters, and add text, shapes or a watermark, all in your browser. Save the result as PNG, JPEG or WebP. Images are edited on your device and never uploaded.

About this tool

What is the Image Editor?

The Image Editor is a photo editor that runs in your browser, built on the open-source Filerobot Image Editor. Open an image, make adjustments on six tabs, and save the edited copy. The original file is not changed and nothing is sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Drag an image onto the drop area, or click it to choose a file. The editor opens on the Annotate tab with the Text tool selected.
  2. Pick a tab (Adjust, Finetune, Filters, Annotate, Watermark, Resize) and a tool within it.
  3. Use undo, redo and reset in the top bar if you change your mind.
  4. Click Save, choose the file name, format (PNG, JPEG or WebP) and quality, and the edited image is downloaded.

The close button (X) discards the image and returns to file selection. To open a different image, drop it onto the editor.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded?

No. Editing and saving happen in your browser. The image and your edits are stored only in this browser so the editor can restore them.

Which format should I save in?

Use PNG for screenshots, graphics and images with transparency; it is lossless but larger. Use JPEG or WebP for photos to get much smaller files.

Is the EXIF data of my photo kept?

No. The saved image is rendered again from the editor canvas, so metadata such as the camera model and GPS location is not included.

Can I edit animated GIFs?

Only as a still image. The editor works on a single frame and saves a static PNG, JPEG or WebP.
